Fishing at Lake Arlington, Texas
Very little aquatic vegetation present; hydrilla has been present in the past.
All species of fish are currently managed under statewide regulations.

Largemouth bass are the most popular sport fish in the reservoir. White bass, white crappie and channel catfish are also popular with anglers.

Lake Arlington does not have much cover or structure, however the hot water discharge area near the tailrace attracts numerous sport fishes.
There are several areas of the lake with stump fields (noted by bouys) that provide habitat. Areas of water willow and button bush may hold some bass.

Largemouth bass anglers are successful year round, with the largest bass caught in the winter. Crappie fishing is best around any underwater structure during the spring and summer.
White bass and catfish are good targets in summer months.
